Baron Eric Rodenheiser, an eccentric robber baron, ruled his lands with an iron fist. From his towering fortress, Baron Rodenheiser spread his reign of tyranny far and wide across the land instilling fear in the hearts of his people.

Ever in search of increased power and wealth, the Baron made pacts and promises to dark powers, bargaining his soul and his sanity for ultimate power and immortality.

For years the baron ruled, and his people feared his wrath. The land was milked dry of its resources and the people staved in their homes as the Baron's power and wealth grew.

As his holding grew, the Baron grey increasingly confident in his own greatness and he betrayed his dark allies, believing himself to be immune to their threats of punishment and doom. The darkness cursed him and his seed and visited upon him visions of death and destruction.

The halls of Castle Rodenheiser became filled with the souls of those damned by the Baron, and reflections of his atrocities. Confined to his fortress, the Baron suffered the horror of his betrayals and as his madness overtook him, his empire crumbled.

Years passed and the land began to heal. No news came from Castle Rodenheiser. Legends soon swallowed up the castle and its former occupant. For many generations the castle remained empty until finally the heirs of Rodenheiser returned and once more to take possession of the castle and its now meager lands.

The years, however, did nothing to quench the thirst of this resident evil. The madness overtook the heirs of Castle Rodenheiser.
